Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question we haven't answered?
Feel free to Get in Touch.
How is the transcript delivered?
You will receive the finalised, fully edited transcript electronically via email. In order to be environmentally-friendly we provide soft copies. Clients are free to make arrangements to have transcripts printed at their own leisure.
What is realtime?
A realtime feed enables you to see the record live as it is being written by the stenographer. Some clients find this very helpful for numerous reasons. It appears on screen in a scripted format.
How is the realtime feed transmitted?
It is transmitted to your laptop via a secure link generated by the stenographer once they open a file and commence the record. Only those with access to this link can access that day’s transcript.
Are other kinds of record keeping available?
You may require a finalised transcript but do not need the live, realtime feed as it happens. This can also be provided.
Do I need extra laptops in the room?
At Synthesis we believe the transcript is best viewed on your own working laptops via a link. It reduces costs, desk clutter, eye strain and viewing obstruction and is more convenient for clients. However, different arrangements can be made if necessary.
What if I am hiring a different firm for my file management, AV or EPE services?
Synthesis’ realtime feed and transcription service can work alongside any firm’s file management, AV or EPE system — allowing you to choose the stenographer you wish to take the live, human authenticated note.
Do you provide in person and virtual stenographic services?
Yes, we are able to attend either in person or via your chosen video call platform (e.g. Teams, Zoom, etc.).
How do I get in contact for a quote?
